Why we need your demographic data
When presenting insights on public opinion, we are often asked who the data represents.
By sharing some information about your demographic background (age, gender, education and employment status), you help us understand whose perspectives are reflected in the results. This allows us to present insights more accurately and ensure that different voices are properly represented.
Why we need you to track your location
To help us understand where your photos were taken, the Urban Belonging App uses location information. This helps us spot patterns across the places where participants report issues and share their experiences. Your data will be stored securely and used only for this project. You’re always free to withdraw your consent to share data at any time.
How your data is processed
All data you share with us belongs to you, and you have the right to access it and ask for its erasure at any time. Your data will be automatically erased by the latest 5 years after project end.
All information you provide will be processed securely and shared only in an anonymised form with project partners. Individual responses will not be identifiable.
The issues you report will be analysed and clustered across all participants to identify common themes. They will also be used to develop chatbots that reflect common perspectives or experiences. Both the aggregated insights and chatbots may be shared publicly in presentations, posters, and academic publications.
